After a lot of hard work and determination, our Music Director, Alex Chan, was just recently granted the necessary immigration status to remain and work in the United States. We look forward to his return to the Davies Sanctuary on September 8 to lead us in song, accompany our singing and to bless us us with his amazing musicality. His leadership and musical talents contribute to our multicultural and multiracial religious experience.

The immigration process was long and difficult. It was also expensive due to fees, legal expenses, and an inability to work while this authorization was under consideration. Davies – as a congregation and as individuals – has been supportive of Alex throughout this process.
