A.D.O.R.E. (A Dialogue on Race and Ethnicity)

In this group discussion, we explore our feelings on race and ethnic issues in order to learn more about ourselves and other people who may have different feelings on these issues.

Optional potluck at 6:30 p.m.; Discussion: 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Open discussion period: Participants are encouraged to share experiences that prompted them to reflect upon their own racial identities.

Facilitator led discussions include:

1. A review of the “State of Black America, 2015” report of the National Urban League

2. What is your take-away from the article, “Lessons of ‘The Butler’ still relevant to day.” (Reading provided)

3. What is your take-away from the article, “The pride and pitfalls of being a black role model?” (Reading provided)
