“Druid Celebration,” Crystal Groves
August 31, 2014 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
August is the start of the first harvest season in the seasonal calendar. Farmers and those that lived off the land used this time to begin the harvest of their first crops, and begin conserving the fruits of their labors to tide them over the coming winter. Some modern pagans use this time to honor the sacred earth for all that she has provided. Some Druids use the time to honor Tailtue, foster mother of the god Lugh for her sacrifice, and Lugh himself, with great athletic games in her honor. Join us for a simple Druidic rite to honor the earth and her bounty.
