LGBTQ+ Literature Discussions
July 28, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Join us over three summer nights as we dive into the works of LGBTQ+ authors. Access the readings in advance or simply show-up to enjoy a quick read-aloud before entering the conversation. Poetry, prose, and drama will be included over the course of the summer. A partnership with the Prince George’s County Memorial Library System, the series will be facilitated by Rev. Norman Allen.
The July 28th session focuses on LGBTQ+ drama from the height of the AIDS Crisis. Discussions will center on monologues from Larry Kramer’s “The Normal Heart” and Tony Kushner’s “Angels in America.” You’ll find those texts HERE. (No further reading is required.)
