This is a time when we need to be boldly resisting the immoral and illegal actions of our government. It’s also a time when it’s not safe for some of us– undocumented immigrants, trans folks, some government workers–to be out and proud and active. Join us this Sunday as we explore when we’re called to courageously show up for justice and when we need to make strategic choices to be quietly subversive for the benefit of the most vulnerable.
This is a “Pulpit Swap” Sunday. Pastor Kirk will be leading the service at the Accotink UU Church while their minister, Rev. William Levwood, will be leading the service at Davies.
Rev. William Levwood (he/him), affectionately known as Rev Lev, serves as the minister at Accotink Unitarian Universalist Church (AUUC) in Burke, VA. Before starting at AUUC in 2021, he was the minister of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Tallahassee (FL). Prior to that, he served for two years as a chaplain resident in Winston Salem, NC. Rev. Levwood has a Masters of Divinity from Starr King School for Ministry and an undergraduate degree in Dance from the University of Maryland.
March’s Spiritual Theme is “The Practice of Trust.”
