When words fall short, how do we truly meet the needs of others? This Sunday, we’ll explore how words can heal, unite, and uplift, while recognizing that action, empathy, and solidarity are essential to building a more just and compassionate world. We will reflect on a poem commissioned by Poetry X Hunger and respond to its call to action, aligning with our congregation’s long-term commitment to food justice.
We hope you’ll participate in whatever way works for you. Stay for Soup Sunday, bring non-perishable items for the Oxon Hill Food Pantry or our Little Free Pantry, or contribute to our October offering partner, No Child Goes Hungry.
