To pursue the sacred work of dismantling racist and oppressive systems in society, we must equip ourselves with knowledge and measurable strategies. This Sunday, the 8th Principle Committee offers a worship service that uses our Opening Litany to remind us of the human capacity for inhumanity – and our continuing responsibility to “bend the arc of the moral universe toward justice.” Using this familiar, weekly text, we will reinvigorate our 8th Principle work, highlighting the examples left for us by our ancestors – in words and deeds – as we broaden our Beloved Community.
