We enjoy a variety of musical genres, including jazz, classical, choral, folk, popular, and country. Music Director Rick Peralta brings particular expertise in guitar, banjo and mandolin. We also enjoy special guests, an occasional choir, and the talents of our many lay artists, including our very own Davies Ensemble.

Lyrics to hymns and musical offerings are projected on large screen TVs, giving everyone the opportunity to sing along, or to enjoy the beauty of the lyrics as they listen. Among many beloved hymns, “Spirit of Life” is sung each Sunday and is accompanied by the children’s sign language interpretation.

Davies Concert Series

Our community is home to the Davies Concert Series, now in its 51st year of bringing classical music to Prince Georges County. Each season begins with a fundraising event that features the talents of Davies’ own musicians, poets, and dancers of all ages, then continues with a line-up that brings the finest professional musicians to the Davies stage. Recent seasons have also included special events, like a fundraising concert for the Coalition for African Americans in the Performing Arts. All events are followed by a meet-the-artist reception.
