In April 1954, a group of Unitarians gathered to officially begin organizing a new fellowship to the southeast of Washington, D.C. As members and friends of the Davies Unitarian Universalist Congregation, we are the inheritors of their dedication and their dreams.

This year’s Annual Generous Giving Campaign celebrates our history with the theme: “Cheers to 70 Years!”

…and Here’s to 70 More of Davies Making a Difference!

We are not just celebrating the past, we are planting the seeds for our shared future and to ensure that Davies remains a welcoming, loving, justice-seeking community for generations to come.

You know your life and context better than anyone else, and we know that you have many demands on your time and finances. That is why we hope you will reflect on your commitments to this beloved community and consider “giving until it feels good” to support its financial future.

To help you in this process, the Stewardship Team is pleased to provide you with the following information:

  • A letter from Board President, Kristine Ouedraogo.
  • A Draft Proposed Budget for 2024-2025 prepared by Treasurer Sandy Greenberg and the Board of Trustees.
  • A Quartile Report from the 2023-2024 fiscal year, showing distribution of pledging amounts for this year, prepared by Financial Secretary, Ginny Bridges.
  • A Fair Share Contribution guide from the Unitarian Universalist Association.
  • A Pledge Card for you to review and complete.

Your timely pledge will help ensure a successful campaign and provide the Board of Trustees with essential information as they make important decisions about the year ahead.

Please return completed pledge cards to our Financial Secretary, Ginny Bridges. You can do so by email, or by delivering a printed copy to Davies in person or by mail.

We are grateful for your commitment to this loving congregation and we are available to answer any questions you may have.

Sandy Greenberg, Treasurer
