Figaro Meets Fredrick Douglass: A Benefit Fundraising Concert for the Coalition for African Americans in the Performing Arts that would feature CAAPA musicians.

In a musical tribute celebrating the 125^th anniversary of the death of Abolitionist Frederick Douglass and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s birthday (January 27^th), the Davies Concert Series partners with the Coalition for African Americans in the Performing Arts (CAAPA) to present a historic concert connecting two genre; opera arias and Negro Spirituals performed by Washington National Opera musicians and accompanied by Maestro Dr. Lester Green.  Meet the Artists Reception following.
