We start the month with a celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride! Join use to honor the joyful, resonant, transformative spirit captured in poet James Broughton’s “Ode to Gaiety.” He writes: “Long live hilarity euphoria and flumadiddle/Long live gaiety/for all the laity.” Readings will also include poet Alice Moore Dunbar-Nelson’s “You! Inez!” and Jameson Fitzpatrick’s “A Poem for Pulse.” (Join us to discuss these works on June 2 at 7pm, as part of our partnership with Prince George’s County Libraries.)
